Enriching Experiences Beyond the Classroom

Lunchtime Clubs

We are committed to developing the whole child and ensuring that every pupil has access to a rich and varied range of experiences beyond the classroom. We are proud to have offered over 50 different types of clubs and activities, giving children opportunities to discover new interests, develop talents and build skills that will support them throughout their lives.

Our lunchtime club programme achieves 100% pupil participation, ensuring that every child at Lapage has the opportunity to experience a club and broaden their horizons. Through this inclusive approach, we aim to nurture pupils’ interests, develop their confidence and resilience and help them discover talents they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to explore.

Sport Fixtures

Sport also plays an important part in our wider curriculum. We regularly participate in fixtures against local schools and the Bradford School Games series, alongside opportunities for pupils to take part in intra-school competitions. We aim to involve as many children as possible, enabling them to apply the skills developed through PE lessons and extra-curricular activities in a range of sporting contexts.

These experiences contribute to pupils’ personal development, promoting teamwork, co-operation, determination and mutual respect. They also enable children to build positive relationships, celebrate personal achievement and develop a sense of belonging within both the school and the wider community.
